Moose
Joly Township sits about 50 minutes south of North Bay, sandwiched between the town of Sundridge and Algonquin Park. It’s a hunting hotbed. George Battye can attest to that.

George Battye – first prize
Last September, Battye was checking on his trail camera when he found a beauty. Now, his decision to share his find has worked out pretty well for him. His moose photo was the runaway winner in the Ontario OUT of DOORS 2015 Trail Cam Contest.

After OOD staff narrowed down the list of entries to 25 for the contest, a vote was held to choose the three most popular. There were some impressive photos to choose from. With close to 4,000 votes counted, the moose photo finished far ahead of the pack. Battye says the moose, along with a cow and calf, turned up at other times on his camera.
Eagles

Tom McClelland
