Attempted to send a trail cam photo for the contest but I keep getting a “file extension not allowed”. It is a .JPG file and only 807 KB
Got it now! Have to convert jpg tp jpeg by resaving the photo and save as file extension jpeg for those having the same issue.
Awesome Roger, thank you for submitting.
I have been trying to submit a photo and it keeps saying ” this file extension is not allowed”. It is a jpg and 2.2Mb.

I forwarded a few photos on the first day of the contest and I believe they were accepted but not sure if I saw confirmation.
Thank you Peter, the confirmation appears on the page after you’ve submitted. We have received your entries. Thank you for submitting, and best of luck.
Dang!! Just got back from Deer Hunting (and retrieving my cameras) and missed the contest :(
Ahh sorry to miss you, please save them for next year though!
Hi I submitted a photo on the first day, but don’t see it in the ones here. Was a bear staring down a deer – wondering if it didn’t come through?
Adam,
Thank you for submitting to our annual Trail Cam Contest. We receive hundreds of photo submissions every year and unfortunately, we’re only able to choose 25 for the voting round. Thank you again for sharing your wildlife photos with us.
I invited lots of friends to participate in voting, more then half of them say it doesn’t work, it says security token invalid.! So not a very good system.
Marty, it’s sorted now, sorry for the glitch. Happy voting!
Anyone else getting an error message when trying to vote?
Megan, it’s sorted now, sorry for the glitch. Happy voting!
odd time to run this contest,a lot of people interested are away hunting or busy hunting.maybe wintertime would be more sensible,
Only 1 photo should be selected from each person. This year there are 2 people with 2 photos entered in the contest.
Peter,
Here are the Rules and Regulations for the Trail Cam Contest: https://oodmag.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/Trail_Camera_Contest_2024_Rules.pdf
These final 25 were a result of 8 people’s selection on recurring favourites, over hundreds of entries submitted. Thank you.
The rules should change. If there are hundreds of entries, I am sure that the 8 people could have found 2 other photos.
