Q: Can two people hunting different species hunt together provided they are both following the rules for the species they are hunting?
Rick Steele, Stayner
A: There are no laws that would prevent hunters from hunting in close proximity to each other. However, they cannot be party hunting together or hunting cooperatively. Actions such as pointing out game, calling or otherwise helping the other person hunt could be considered hunting that species. If each individual is carrying hunting equipment appropriate for the species they are licensed to hunt and, by definition, only hunting that species, then hunting in close proximity to each other would be lawful.
