Q: If you are bowhunting during a gun season for big game, for obvious safety reasons you are required to wear orange. But if you are bowhunting on a Sunday during a gun season for big game in a municipality that does not allow Sunday gun hunting, do you still need to wear orange?
Rick Steele, Stayner
A: Yes. While Sunday gun hunting may not be allowed in a particular municipality, the open season is a deer, elk or moose season allowing the use of guns and therefore the hunter orange requirements still apply.
