Q: Does a minnow trap need to be marked with the licence holder’s name?
Don R., Matheson

A: Yes, when used for recreational fishing, they must be clearly marked with the licence holder’s name and address. Suckers and lake herring are the only baitfish that non-residents with a recreational fishing licence may capture using a minnow trap.
