Q: Am I permitted to use a turkey decoy (when fall turkey season is closed) as a confidence decoy while hunting for deer?
Gilbert Price, Toronto
A: Yes, you may use a turkey decoy as a confidence decoy to hunt deer. However, you must remember that use of a turkey decoy is proof, in the absence of evidence to the contrary, that you are hunting turkey. You are responsible for providing evidence that you are hunting deer and not turkey.
