101-year-old sturgeon caught in Detroit River

On April 22, during its annual survey in the St. Clair-Detroit River System, a US Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS) research crew from the Alpena Fish and Wildlife Conservation Office tagged, measured, and released a six-foot, 10-inch female sturgeon into the Detroit River, where they estimate it was born in 1920.
