The province is investing $16 million over three years to help protect the economy and environment from invasive species.
Oaks facing threat
Oak wilt fungus found in May was the first detection of it in Canada. The disease kills oaks and is caused by a fungus that grows on the outer sapwood.
Giving invasive species the boot
The Invasive Species Centre is giving away 10 customized boot brush stations to commemorate its 10th anniversary and to remind Ontarians that invasive species can hitch rides on our boots.
