Q: OOD readers would like to know the legality of using wireless, electronic turkey motion decoys. Are these decoys legal to use for turkey hunting in Ontario?
A: Ontario’s hunting regulations prohibit the use of live decoys or electronic calls to hunt wild turkey. Decoys are not live birds, so are not prohibited on those grounds. Provided that the decoy does not include an electronic call, it would be legal to use for wild turkey hunting.
