Tyler Cameron of North Bay had been out bear hunting whenever time allowed this season. In the afternoon on Saturday, Sept. 6, he headed out around 4 p.m. and for the first time in 2 months the bears hadn’t hit the bait overnight.

He wasn’t sure if this was a good sign or a bad one. Then at 6 p.m. he realized it was good when the more than 200-pound bear came in and gave Tyler the perfect broadside shot. The bear ran 15 yards and dropped. “My 2014 bear hunt is complete,” he said.
