OFAH funding

With the recent bifurcation of the Ontario Federation of Anglers and Hunters (OFAH) into OFAH Membership and OFAH Foundation, the original organization’s Community Conservation Fund also split, with half of its mandate staying with each organization.

OFAH Membership funding

Hunt. Fish. Conserve.

OFAH Membership took on supporting youth fishing and hunting events and education, physical hunting and fishing accessibility, and programs to engage and recruit new anglers and hunters of all ages.

Community Projects Fund

OFAH Membership’s Community Projects Fund (CPF) has two streams, one for general applications for youth engagement, accessibility, and human dimensions such as new hunter and angler recruitment, and a second, simpler application process for youth fishing derbies and fishing programs. In 2025, 23 projects are receiving a combined total of $50,000.

The CPF is supporting 11 youth fishing derbies in 2025, three youth fishing programs, including high school fishing clubs. The CPF is also supporting five youth hunting and archery programs, the restoration of an accessible waterfowl hunting blind, two angler and hunter engagement projects, and a women’s waterfowl event at Long Point Provincial Park.

Stay tuned to our communications channels for program updates and information on how to apply.

OFAH Foundation funding

Learn. Support. Conserve.

OFAH Foundation is supporting on-the-ground conservation work through habitat and species restoration, mitigating invasive species, and programs that create outdoor experiences and education opportunities for the public.

Community Conservation Fund

OFAH Foundation’s Community Conservation Fund (CCF) is supporting twelve projects in 2025 with a total of $50,000. The projects are five stream rehabilitation efforts, two projects across multiple lakes to restore fish spawning habitat (walleye and lake trout), two invasive species mitigation projects, and three outdoor education projects, covering water education, archery, and fishing.
