A unique, controlled waterfowl hunt exists just off highway 401 on the north shore of Lake Ontario in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA).
This hidden gem on McLaughlin Bay has remained a well-kept secret for many years. It is a great location for both new and experienced hunters to gather, share their passion, and learn from one another. Last year, hunters harvested a variety of 15 waterfowl species, with Canada geese being the most abundant for the third consecutive year. Mallards made up 25% of the harvest in 2024, and hunters were impressed by the increase of green-winged teal from previous seasons.

“We are seeking a dedicated group of volunteers to take on the responsibility of maintaining hunting blinds, managing the daily hunt registration, and the overall operation of the controlled hunt each year.”
