Peace in education
http://news.nationalpost.com/news/ca...strikes-spread
LOL !!!!
So, our illustrious Premier who got into politics as a school trustee who went on to become a Minister of Education and then Premier is having a wee bit of a "Spat" with her people? Does anybody really think that she will ever win against her masters? She has 3 years left in her majority but knows damned well that they control her future and got McGuinty dumped for his short lived attempt at fiscal reality. This will be funny to watch although those with kids in gr 12 won't think so.
So let's itemize this administration right now:
-3 ongoing OPP investigations.
-looming Carbon taxes
-teachers strike
-skyrocketing Hydro rates
-massive exodus of manufacturing ( see above )
-highest deficit/debts of any other Province
-higher debt/capita than even California
-PANAM scandals ( more to come)
And these incompetent crooks have 3 more years to grease each other and stick your children with the bill. Unreal.

I’m suspicious of people who don't like dogs, but I trust a dog who doesn't like a person.

Baahh, they are just a bunch of Homophobes and knuckle draggers right? Who do they think they are having an opinion on what values their kids should have?

You said that they would lose before the last election, and yet they won again, who is to say it will not happen again in 3 years. All those that said they would leave the province if the Libs won, are still here. Majority rule= one person, one vote.

I believe the teacher strike is a sham. The high school teachers are getting 75% of their pay because they have been paying into a strike fund. The elementary teachers will work to rule because they have not paid into a strike fund. Both sides are posturing and playing tough but make no mistake it is just for show as I believe a deal has already been worked out.
To hear Sandals continuously whine that she doesn't understand what the issues are speaks volumes. She is the freakin education minister . If she doesn't know then who does.LOL

Has too much time on their hands
Ahh... the education system of Ontario.....
where we have a politician that was consulting on the curriculum arrested and convicted who have talked about incest with their daughter and coached others as well as child charges.
where we have a curriculum that was already pulled once over protests is forced back in and we are seeing 90% of some schools the students being withdrawn for a week.
where elementary teachers get a $400,000,000 top up on their contract..... yet are going on work to rule on Monday.
where individual school boards are on or threatening strike at the high school level.
Says something when my son (in high school, home the last 2 days) make comments about stupid people and has talked about having a 4 month summer....
While he is home I should look at his science text and see if they still have the Haekel embryo images (he admitted it was faked in 1895, it made Science mag. top 10 frauds) and the universe always existed (like in my text, decades after Hubbles discoveries of the red shift...)

We in Ontario have the oldest sex-ed curriculum in the entire country, 1998, things have changed in that time. What do you think the other enlightened provinces are teaching their kids about sex?

Lol! Just saw this online:
Stamp Recall .. Canada Post
Canada Post created a new stamp bearing a picture of Ontario's Premier Kathleen Wynne.
However, Ontario residents have complained that the stamp is not sticking to envelopes.
This situation enraged Premier Wynne, who demanded a full investigation.
After a month of testing and spending $4.1 million, a special commission has presented the following findings
1. The stamp is in perfect order.
2. There is nothing wrong with the adhesive.
3. Ontarians are spitting on the wrong side of the stamp.
