Province replacing Endangered Species Act
https://oodmag.com/province-replacin...d-species-act/
Ontario will phase out the Endangered Species Act (ESA) of 2007 and replace it with new legislation called the Species Conservation Act.
What can I but enumerate old themes,
First that sea-rider Oisin led by the nose
Through three enchanted islands, allegorical dreams,
Vain gaiety, vain battle, vain repose,
Themes of the embittered heart, or so it seems.
-- "The Circus Animals’ Desertion" by William Butler Yeats

Change a name and imagine all the paperwork that has to be scrapped and changed. Sounds like the military, time to reorganize.

I'm interested to know why (and more importantly who) thinks this legislation needs to be changed. It seems to me that the old adage fits perfectly here "if t ain't broke, don't fix it".
If a tree falls on your ex in the woods and nobody hears it,you should probably still get rid of your chainsaw. Just sayin'....

Species Conservation Act doesn’t seam as harsh and won’t raise alarm of the general public as the Endangered Species Act will.. A bit of camouflage here…
