They keep talking about removing assault weapons from canada, yet there are none legally owned. What they really mean is guns that look scary because they are black and have plastic parts on them that make them look like movie guns. In fact they operate exactly the same as your grandfathers old hunting rifle. Again uneducated people being lied to.

Can anyone tell me how we are in a crisis?
I hear it's because of trump but I don't see it. The entire election has been about trump like I said it would be .

Who's the best to defeat trump lol

Trump didn't start our problems I talked about kicking the can down during the pandemic. There was signals well before that. I think I've asked what the plans been for a half decade here. You can't loose a decade of living standards and blame trump.

Homelessness is up food banks are at record breaking numbers we are biulding houses at same pace as the 70s. When housing starts are down you don't bring in 1.2 million people a year while only starting 220 thousands homes.

    Trumps fault carry-on

Been some rumours that a number who visit the food banks really don't need to, just taking advantage of free food.

wouldn't surprise me. Might not be politically correct but a through audit of the whole welfare system may be in order. Should be a hand up not a hand out, shouldn't be a career.

I can remember stories of this happening 20 years ago. I can only imagine how much worse it is these days with the lack of community accountability.

Sadly it's given me a rather cynical outlook.

Is your 1.2 million people accurate or an over exaggeration? What source is this coming from?

Over one million is accurate for 2024. Never believe what MSM news reports on immigration numbers

I was accurate on the immigration numbers just off the housing a bit I putt 220 it should of been 240.

""In 2023, Canada's housing starts (new home construction) significantly lagged behind the rapid increase in immigration numbers. While housing starts were at 240,267, Canada added a record1.23 million new residents, largely due to immigration, according to the Fraser Institute. This resulted in a 5.1 new residents for every housing unit started, the highest ratio since 1972,notes the Toronto Sun.""

Our housing actually peaked in 76 . Seems pretty crazy since we have grown so much since then. Shortly after in the mid 80s we started shipping our manufacturing away. You would think if our population grew by almost half or the equivalent of 17 million people you would biuld more not less .

"Nationally, construction began on about 245,367 new housing units in 2024, down from a recent high of 271,198 starts in 2021—Canada's annual number of housing starts peaked at 273,203 in 1976."

Funny how this works. They still say to this day that they are shaping the global agenda. Mark Carney is part of this crazy organization. Few years after this we sent moved our manufacturing. Simon says Simon does. In 1972 they introduced the head of state to the meetings. In 79 they open the door to China this link shows some of the agenda from 1971 to 2015

    "AI Overview
    +11
In 1980, the World Economic Forum (WEF) was founded and focused on the changing business world, including factors like corporate strategy and structure. While not explicitly about "moving manufacturing," the forum's early discussions touched upon the need for businesses to adapt to changing economic conditions and technological advancements, which would eventually contribute to shifts in the manufacturing landscape.
    Here's a more detailed look:
    WEF's Foundational Goals:
The WEF, established in 1980, was designed to bring together prominent business leaders, academics, and media representatives to discuss global challenges and emerging trends. This included discussions about the factors impacting business strategies and structures.
    Shifting Business Landscape:
The 1980s saw significant changes in the business world, including the rise of globalization, technological advancements, and changing consumer preferences. These factors started to influence how companies operated and where they chose to manufacture their products.
Decline in Manufacturing's Share of GDP:
The share of manufacturing as a percentage of GDP began to decline globally, including in emerging markets, from the 1970s and 1980s. This decline was driven by various factors, including structural shifts, technological changes, and increased global competition.
    The Future of Manufacturing:
The WEF has continued to address the future of manufacturing, exploring how companies can adapt to changing conditions, embrace new technologies, and develop more sustainable and resilient business models. This includes discussions on topics like the internet of things, circular economies, and net-zero manufacturing.
In summary, while the WEF's founding in 1980 wasn't specifically about "moving manufacturing," its discussions about the changing business landscape and the need for companies to adapt to evolving economic and technological trends set the stage for the subsequent shifts in the manufacturing sector."

Found this online, it's showing way under 1.2 million immigrants a year. I can't find any sources saying 1.2m/year. It doesn't sound accurate.
