    I caught an atlantic last year. I think the fish you have is a coho.

    edit: was it dinner? That would be a good eater.

    Now I’m back to the start thanks lol. A lot of people I’ve shown is saying it’s an Atlantic, but I’m still getting coho from people including yourself. So I still don’t know what this fish really is.

    My friend that went fishing in Newfoundland caught this Atlantic close to the same size of mine. He confirmed that it’s an Atlantic. They really look the same. 095.jpeg

    Yes it is. The black "x" spots along the upper portion give it away. If your hands and everything else the fish touches are covered in scales, its a coho. OK, that's not a great way to id coho's, but they sure do seem to get scales all over everything.
