Default Ask A CO: Dispatching a wounded duck

A reader asks if it's legal to dispatch a wounded duck after legal shooting hours with a firearm if it was initially shot within them.
What can I but enumerate old themes,
First that sea-rider Oisin led by the nose
Through three enchanted islands, allegorical dreams,
Vain gaiety, vain battle, vain repose,
Themes of the embittered heart, or so it seems.

And that is why I quit 10 minutes sooner then the quitting time. No duck to worry about or being accused of shooting late.

I can't see the answer needed to be any longer. I usually pack up deer hunting 20min or more early as it to dark to really see in the bush anyway.

X2. I hate tracking wounded game in the dark. That's a good way to get a poke in the eye or a sprained ankle or worse.
