Northern Lights
Who saw some Northern Lights this week? What a visual gift at such an otherwise dreary time of year.
What can I but enumerate old themes,
First that sea-rider Oisin led by the nose
Through three enchanted islands, allegorical dreams,
Vain gaiety, vain battle, vain repose,
Themes of the embittered heart, or so it seems.

we were up Sudbury way and were out standing on the frozen lake looking for them. While we saw a bit (really just a glow in the sky), it was nothing like some of the pics I've seen. Fantastic, wish we were able to see that extent of them.

My sister-in-law in Northern Saskatchewan took some great videos of it. They were quite visible in Ottawa - I see neighbours posting pics - but I missed them. I'm not out and about at that time of night.
