Remember your shop teacher ? I bet you learned something about working with your hands and tools. Maybe he got mad and yelled because you and your buddies were fooling around, and that was ok because you deserved it.

Yup, that's the stupidity of some of today's "teachers". Not to say the students are any better. When I went to school, you went to school, not spend half the day at the local malls or parks.

this is unrelated to this current situation regarding the teacher in this thred - I firmly beleive the government is quite content watering down the quality of education being offered - they do not teach critical thinking or hard work anymore - they purposely want everyone just dumb enough to be content watching TikTok all day, not questioning anything the political elites do (debt, forcing green energy and lowering our standard of living, printing money and inflating our costs, etc, etc) why would they want an intelligent and hard working populus who would be smart enough to challenge what all parties and all levels of government have done over the last 20+ years????

I came from a socialist's country,and they were teaching us exact the same.We had relatively strong and consistent education,aside from Political subjects(they were garbage).They were teaching us far and wide,history in details too-so we would know,and we would be able to differentiate.

In the west-they said,there is no need for educated populace.
Smart people may dare to think...........

Why do you say that Meghan? I taught from 1966-2012- special needs kids mostly. The system is much better than it was imo.
