I think it is. I'm 52 years old and have raised 3 kids. Considering the number of Kid's I have met over the years that have no real clue in Life.
I have met kid's that could not comprehend why McDonald's won't pay them 100K a year. When I bought my first home my wife were and I were just at the poverty line and there were many times I work 18 hour days all summer to make ends meet and buy some extra's for my kid's. I can remember some of my daughters friends asking me how I accumulated all the toys I have and when I said by work lot's of extra hours doing side jobs and buying used stuff and or broken stuff and repairing it, they would say they shouldn't have to do that and that they should be paid more.

Many kid's starting out today do not feel they should have to work hard let alone work.

Society should not be protecting everyone that is what friends and family do, people need to work hard. However if you do think we should all share can you give me 100K I would love to have a brand new truck as mine is a 2005 Dodge.

Amen, I think we went down the same path, both of mine were not babied, both have good jobs, own their own homes and toys and know the value of work. Far too many get the gold star for "attending" life.

I was talking about this the other day, about how the current school system is providing two contrary modes, everyone gets gold stars but are still graded based on who can retain the most information for a test/exam. I think competition is healthy, and kids in their ego-centric realms (bolstered by the pandemic and perhaps video games) aren't processing that in a healthy manner. Kids need positive motivation.

Maybe many are to out of touch with reality. Common sense will always lack when your not in reality anymore.
