Hmmm. That sucks. Do you think they applied proper social distancing protocols (I'm assuming there was some breach, or the transmission would not have occurred).

Man there's a lot of paranoia in this thread! The lockdown was a temporary measure to try to mitigate a very poor vaccine roll-out. It's nothing more and nothing less. Once the population has some form of herd immunity things will return to a new normal. Stop looking at the antivax and antigovernment sites! See you in the fall once we can hunt and fish as always.

    More good guys and gals!

"Meet Sgt. Julie Evans and Sgt. Greg Boltyansky of Toronto Police and York Regional Police Const. Christopher Vandenbos — three officers “loyal to the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms” who are among 15 active police officers and four retirees taking the government and their police forces to court over being forced to participate in “unconstitutional” and “martial law” like lockdowns, stay-at-home orders, social distancing, and enforcement. The initiative stems from Police on Guard For Thee, which has hundreds of active and retired police officers advocating for the rights of Canadians."

I think the truth lies somewhere in between. I think the Ontario doctors are on a power trip right now, and will soon have us all in crash helmets and wearing cushiony suits if we allow them to. The whole thing about forcing the police to card anyone they like ... not good, even my cop friends say so ... when they are fighting a huge public trust battle ... they don't want that ... that's why they rejected the Province's directive.

So, although I don't think we are turning into a communist country ... I do think that if we allow government to trample over our rights, it only gets worse ... so this push back on government to stand up for our rights, it is important ... to keep a good balance.

Allowing the Village Idiot to create a 'State of Emergency' so Police have powers to quarantine to your home and only allowed to watch/read government sanctioned TV & Internet is sliding pretty far down the slippery slope.
