Yes, to a degree. I’m sure they issued a warning, which apparently did no good. They found themselves in a lose, lose position, and using good discretion, backed out, Charges could always be laid at a later date, possibly with an Obstruct PO charge added in.

There are many forces at play here. Police officers families and friends are also affected by these lockdown measures that are morally wrong.
I am sure that peer pressure to stand down is also building up at this time. Organizations such as Police on guard for Thee are lobbying hard.

Do not be surprised if the Turd deploys the military. Its in their road map plan and there is a flavour already in place and occurring this week in the guise of helping out with the pandemic. It will get worse before it gets any better IMHO

I think soon ... very soon ... this will either be proven to be a real concern, or simply an unnecessary worry.
What will the government say when we have 75% vaccinated, and churches want to open up. At this very time
there are several petitions being signed by Churches who argue that with proper social distancing at 30% capacity,
fewer than 1% of the transmissions have been in Churches ... so the risk is very low ... far lower than going to
a grocery store.

The sad reality is 5000+ international travelers daily are coming through Pearson with hundreds of cases of covid.
Our lockdowns have no end in sight with our current governments. Let us out to play for the summer and back to lockdown in fall.

With only 1/3 of eligible Canadians been vaccinated the end of lockdowns is nowhere in sight. Can't wait for the military to show up, maybe then people will finally take notice and wake the hell up.

One of our largest outbreaks was from a church in our neck of the woods.....

Still pales in comparison to the amount of covid landing in Toronto every day.
Our country is far worse than the USA as far as covid per population, and they are packing sporting events with spectators while we are told to stay at home.
