Because of my age I could have got the vaccine a month ago but thought I'd wait for awhile to let things settle out somewhat - figure I'd get it sometime in May - in the meantime I am staying home and if I go out I wear a mask and stay away from people - hopefully by then there isn't any unexpected adverse reaction taking place to those who got the shot - there is a lot they don't know about this virus and even if you get the shot they aren't sure how long you may have immunity - we may be living different for quite a while and may not return to normal life for a long time - one of my daughters is a nurse - she actually works with Covid patients - she hasn't taken the shot yet - she wears all kind of equipment and clothes when she is at the hospital - some of the nurses at her hospital have taken the shot - others have not - one nurse that got it had to go to the ER because of a reaction -

The one thing that has been difficult is that I had to postpone dental examinations and doctor visits - we just have to live day by day and see what happens

It be at least a year before everyone here is vaccinated sometime in mid to late 2022. Trudeau has really screwed up lots.

Actually because of Trump a million people a day are being vaccinated down south.
How many people a day is Trudeau vaccinating?
The answer should show you how much Trump cares about his people, and how little care Trudeau has for people like you FC..lol
Trudeau is to busy setting up the globalist with tens of billions of our countries money to fund a reset, instead of working for Canadians.

True enough, and it seems to all depend on how badly one wants to "get back to normal".

Being largely unaffected by pandemic life (aside from staying home last summer with the kids, pretty rough...haha) I'm not in any hurry for "normal". Many of those things I might not be able to do if I don't get a vaccine I don't like doing anyway, so I'm not concerned about getting it. I'm not at risk from covid.

If people have a problem with me not getting an experimental vaccine "for their sake", that's their problem. I got my shots as a kids. Did not get the H1N1 vaccine, don't get flu shots, will not get this one either.

I do not trust Politicians but I do trust science. Fortunately, for us Canadians, Lord Emperor Justinius has fumbled on vaccine delivery so we can watch science at work in places like the UK and Israel.
I would suggest avoiding social media like the plague and look at articles from scientific journals and reports from medical universities, not Facebook or Twitter. If you get all your information about COVID from Dr. Nick Riviera's Facebook rant I think your information may be incorrect. Sure, mainstream media is not always reliable, so check the source of their information. Is it someone's opinion, or is it a study from an expert from the Mayo Clinic or Harvard University....
Anyway, by the time we hear gobbling in the woods and the blackflies are out, we will see whether or not vaccines are worth the trouble. The world science experiment is well underway in other countries with far more cases than Canada. Remember Polio? I dont. That's because I got vaccinated as a kid. Lets give this a chance and avoid conspiracy theories and un-supported scientific evidence.

I remember when Polio was around - knew some kids that died from it - some that had it when they were young became crippled later in life - when I was a kid I got the vaccine on a cube of sugar - the one thing that happened was some kids were getting Polio after getting the vaccine - some dying - what happened was one supplier of the vaccine wasn't making it right and those who got their vaccine were given life virus - so you hope that something like that doesn't happen with this vaccine -

Funny some here telling the forum, people will be restricted, kids can't go to school if you's refuse to take vaccine.

Kinda have to laugh as kids are going to school as we speak. We've been free to travel since the start..lol

Still can't wrap my head around the fact after you've been vaccinated, you still have to wear a mask. Think I will pass on the venom and continue to keep myself safer with just a mask..

...and kids can't even get these vaccines, not that they need them anyway. Kids are more or less unaffected by coronaviruses because they pass other coronaviruses around all the time.

Guess it never occurred to some here that kids go to school without flu shots, and all early indications of vaccine performance now suggest that variants will require constant updates. At the current vaccine deployment rate, it's hard to see a scenario where vaccines outpace mutations, especially so with vaccines that really only prevent "serious illness" and don't sterilize the virus (100% efficiency). Can't see it happening. We look like a dog chasing its tail. The virus will run its course regardless, and we're quite possibly driving the creation of new variants with our efforts to control it. Here is a study where multiple variants developed in one person alone during the course of his treatment between May and August last year when he died.

They are mutating way faster. More new variants found in New York like or similar to the South African variants . The vaccines are becoming Less effective against these new variants. The treatment is becoming less effective every week.
