Its a story that reflects how the enforcement of the unconstitutional Pandemic laws by the Police have turned them into Goon Squads around the world. It's turned even our own cities into police states. Look at the fella in Toronto with the BBQ shack. Horse back Police and about 20 officers show up an haul him away.

It also ties into the story concerned retired and active duty peace officers looking to see the end of unconstitutional public health orders. A lot of good cops even see this as ridiculous and abusive use of their powers. They don't like what we see with what happen in their Police services.

As seen by some of the response on here to this story, it's apparent that some folks see nothing wrong with how the police are conducting themselves. Some have have even used 'victim blaming ' because she provoked the assault by wearing a sign protesting of all things "'If you don't know your rights, you don't have any. Magna Carta.'..The irony doesn't escape notice.

When a lady out walking with her kid in a quiet neighbourhood can be assaulted by a gang of Police, have her child ripped from her arms and tossed in a van for the crime of 'not social distancing' there is something really wrong with what society has become.

But like you said it's half way around the world, so not our problem. They probably said the same thing watching the BBQ guy get hauled away and thought they how lucky they were that it wasn't happening there.

She was trying to leave after she was told by the same cop she wasn't being detained.

Giving her a ticket for not social distancing did not require her being arrested.

"Halfway around the world and not our problem" is what people were saying when they first implemented lockdowns in Italy last year.

On one hand you are right but if we twist this picture a little. Let's say you are married and vacationing around my area and a group of goons attacks your wife for doing nothing wrong. You're not from here, not my problem however you can bet your socks I'm not going to stand around and watch a gang of skinheads beat on your old lady. Unless of course thats your thing.... in which case....

How is it one careless cigarette can cause a forest fire, but it takes a whole box of matches to light a campfire?

    Few things.

Tigbiy, with other topics I’d agree. For example, it bothers me, that so many Cdns are so wrapped up in Trump. But say little to nothing about our clown and problems in our own backyard.

This speaks to the Public Trust. And what happens when the public loses trust in those who have power over them. The lockdowns, “police state” are a global thing.

People are both growing fatigued and frustrated. Which of those a person likely feels depends on their income this year. Some are taking massive hits, while other are just growing fatigued. Listening to Ford say “ people are sacrificing” the other day. I wanted to punch him face. No they aren’t, just some are.

Both spell, potential trouble. And we are starting to see signs here. Be it protest in Que,,or BBQ owners.

The world has gone bat ship crazy. Few things make sense/add up. Be it the level of restrictions weighed against the cost of Covid, or the level of police response.

Will it get worse before it gets better? Hard to say, but if we look at these events, which are not isolated and are occurring in many countries, especially just south of us ( threats of armed insurrection now). Ill winds are blowing. And the end isn’t in sight

I agree for the most part. I believe there is a lot of government over reach. I believe most if not all of these covid charges will not survive a court challenge. I also side with the Leo’s that have brought the unconstitutionality of what’s taking place, to public attention. I don’t, for one minute believe this video is a total representation of what happened. My point all along is that people are too quick to judge and condemn the actions of the police, based on a partial video of an occurrence, when they have no idea of what actually occurred. These cell phone videos never represent the entire story, ever !

I haven't fact checked what follows, it's just heresay per se. I'm sure if someone is inclined they can check it.

Suicide rates amongst teens are heading down. Makes sense ( which is why I haven't checked). They are spending more time at home with family, less in school and in environment's that trigger anxiety and depression. Suicide rates amongst adults, especially middle aged men ( cough working years cough) are spiking large. Makes sense, some are under mountains of anxiety, both financial and other, one's sense of "worth". Working contributes significantly to a persons sense of purpose, self and well being. A good friend has lost two brother in laws in 2020. One to Covid, one to suicide..

Those are different topics though . Although, we could be forgiven for thinking leo is going to start being called to more and more domestics, more and more incidents where they are dealing with frustrated, despondent people. And their responsibility to de-escalate is going to be tested.

Now, no-one know just yet, why this man went off the rails. Nasty divorce? Feeling down after losing a job, mountains of stress. Who knows....
