Did my groceries this morning. Ran out of coffee filters 1 day early.
3 weeks ago, we could place an order online, pick it up in the afternoon. Theres a 1 week lead now.

That's why a french press is nice, I also have the fill your own for the Keurig. You can also make cold brewed in the French press. In the morning press out the day befores, clean, refill, have my coffee and the next morning repeat.

As I mentioned, the Fortinos SAID the date was 5 days later but they still delivered in the 5 hour window.... bags were all wrapped tight, driver had a mask and gloves, missing several items (I got text messages saying so) and the chocolate bar was best before January 2020 ... well they ain't prefetc !! Metro from the day I ordered to the delivery date was 8 days and isn't until Tuesday.... we will see how they do!

*Note: Fortinos "Mandarin Clementine" came as the Orri oranges, they are real good, stay better longer and warning, if your family is like mine order atleast 20! ... the order was yesterday and last I looked there were only 3 or 4 left of the 12 I ordered!

"filters". I went back to them from my Keurig couple years ago.Biodegrable. And while we don't have "green bins" here, the composter normally. I am on a septic. Coffee grounds that inadvently make their way down the drain.....Man, old habits die hard.

I use these,

I empty them into the compost bucket then wash them. There is a "powder" (BIO-Clean) with bacteria we use at the cottage and at home in the kitchen sink to help break up organics (grease, coffee...). At home I put some in the drain at night once a week or so and it seems to help keep it clean. Coffee grains are a pain in the sink lines and a plumber recommended it and it seems to work. Keurig is for when I am in a rush, the French Press takes longer (unless I made the cold brewed the day before) but has more flavour I find.

LCBO, Alcoholics.
They buy mickeys as a form of self policing. As such they are daily, bi-daily regulars. Theres also a school of thought,they would flood hospitals.......Do we need that?
But, because the canabis stores are open, Im more inclined it's simply to keep tax revenue flowing. And frankly I'm ok with that. No-body twisting anyones arm to go shopping for non-essentials. If they ( anyone) wants to ante up and help offset the massive bills we're facing such as the deficit more than doubling, a 3.3 billion projected Covid health bill............

Try to explain that to so many people that are laidoff and not working because they are not deemed essential, while the alcoholics and drug users stores are open and employees still get to work and don't loose anything.
Clothing is non-essential but booze and weed is, pathetic...

My closest fortinos is a 1 hr 3 minute drive lol. The closest metro is closer at 40 minutes.

I'm out in the the woods I'm probably closer to j ben than big bulk stores lol.

We receive the same traffic issues every may till October just going in different directions or its split up right where we are . 48 and lake ridge I have learned over the years to head south on Friday and north on Sunday to get the least traffic [emoji1787] you do it the opposite and it's slow going .

Loblaws grocery clerk in Oshawa died today..... don’t see many tributes for them....do we?

Sadly the masses have proven we weren’t up to it. Lots of images of parties on beaches, zoos at Costco, ad naseum.

Lots of prices to be paid, by lots.

Just imagine what an alcoholic can do to a family member if they went through withdrawal. It may easy to say screw the alcoholics but it is society (probably their loved ones) that will pay the price. Nothing is just black and white....

We need to feel sorry for our alcoholics?...lol. I couldn't care less if someone decides to ruin themselves with alcoholism, that's their choice and nobody else's. If the hospital's are full send them home to dry out, death is rare from withdrawl, not common like other symptoms. Alcoholics get not one ounce of sympathy from this guy...

This is blown out of proportion - alcoholics do not take up valuable ICE beds. Alcoholics going through withdrawal 'might' need to be admitted, and if so they are only in emerg if they are at risk of having a seizure - they can be fatal. The withdrawal process is a painful process for them (sweats, shakes, and in rare cases delusional behavior) but rarely fatal with the exception of the most severe cases. Typically a hospital stay lasts 6-7 hrs so that they can monitor the patient to make sure they do not go into seizures and then they are discharged.

Once the alcohol is out of their system a shortage of booze would be a blessing for them.
