Let's not forgot that we had a soldier here in Canada commit a mass shooting ...used Government issued firearms too ( armed with two C-1 submachine guns, an Inglis pistol, a duffel bag containing four hundred rounds of 9mm NATO ammunition)

Denis Lortie (born March 10, 1959) is a former Canadian Forces corporal. In 1984, he stormed into the National Assembly of Quebec building and opened fire with several firearms, killing three Quebec government employees and wounding 13 others.

Maybe it's time to ban them in the military as well and police should be banned aswell . You know they can go loopy at any moment lol. Jk.

Another officer ended his life his own life in Toronto with his own gun. Sad news indeed .

Should they have one of the only rights to possess an assault weapon? Seems an ongoing trend that's getting worse. . What happens when one decides to take it out on the public before his own life.

If you take away the gun, they just use a truck/car or they run around with a bat and a knife. We have to face the real truth that people that want to hurt others will always find away.

As long as a person can think, they can always find something to use as a weapon. It's a key piece of a human's survival instinct. If our forefathers had not learned to fight off predators with rocks and sticks, no one and I mean not a single HUMAN would be here to have this conversation.

There is a very sad trend is the world today, and I feel that it has a lot to do with the decreasing ways that people can legally deal with griefing, anger and stress.

If you raise your voice or tell someone to F' off , it's an assault charge.

If you are moody and just keeping to yourself, it's Antisocial and intimidating behavior.

You are so correct the danforth shooting the shooter had access to stolen goods. Guns ammo with the right connections.

The van attack in Toronto he probably didnt have access to anything he was more of a loner and had some mental health issues. He used what he could use a van

Domestic violence a gun will be used if that's what is around. If not they could beat her to death. Toss them over a balcony or what ever they have be a kitchen knife. and visa versa when a woman kills her husband after he beats her and fears for her life

I know a guy who ran over a guy because that's what happened in the heat of the moment. He was chasing him and that's what he did no time to go and get his gun. So he just hit him with his truck. Because of the cause he was sentenced to manslaughter. Good guy but happens .

Cultural differences are not helping in some cases as well.

There are a large number of 1st and 2nd Generation Canadians that come from Non-gun cultures, or cultures were only "BAD" people had guns. They are very easily scared and intimidated by the stories and lies the Gun Control people tell them.

It also doesn't help when you have a minority of hunters. The majority doesn't get it or understand stand it . Easy to spin things around when your not interested in hunting or guns.

But all these doctors that are complaining of shooting victims just voted for a gun ban not realizing or un educated of the real problems.
It was a political spin to get votes instead of confronting the real problems.

With a minority government wonder if it will even pass through.

Watch it back fire on the liberal when they dont have the power to change the laws.
