this has been covered so many times though. The warnings were there in 2008. More so in 2010/2011 when Drummond had to be brought in. All the "griping" as some here called it about spending, debt, pandering to Union, the economy .....Then again in 2014. Its way past time people put the blame solely where it belongs. Ms Wynne sickens me, make no mistake. But if a parole board let's a sociopath (say Picton) back into the public who then goes on another spree. Who is responsible. Picton?
the cities lack of moral compass, the Unions greed, the corruption, their members self interest ahead of the greater good. And the other sad FACT is, all those responsible, aen't paying the same prices. The economic downturn hit rural Ontario hard, hydro hits those outside the golden TA harder, and on and on.
not sure how people can look in the mirror, and all of it was warned about (be it pandering to the unions, especially prior to 2011), be it the corruption, or their ineptitude.
So yup, it's past time those responsible for "turning Picton loose" and no one but. Shoulder it.
True but politicians sell themselves as responsible managers of the public's trust. The problem is what happens when that bill of goods is sold as such and then the politician implements practices to counteract that trust. Look at Wynne, when she won the Liberal leadership, said she would work with the other parties (I see very little of that happening but I guess it is hard to work with people who are showing Ontario every stinking piece of clothing in your closet), she also said Ontarians don't have prejudice in their hearts but her comments about people who disagreed with the health curriculum changes and the refugee plan (homophobia and xenophobia) tells me she believes otherwise, she wanted to repair relations with teachers (she didn't say she was going to bribe them into being good and even now that is questionable per Kraka's comments).
Her one job is to make sure Ontario's interests are looked after and her citizens are cared for. Despite asking (taking) more money from us, things are much worse than they were. The population is starting to really feel the effect of all of these "great" initiatives the government has rammed down our throats (and I use the term ram because many of the initiatives that are the most damaging were never part of any election platform). Most folks can't understand her logic in why she does a lot of things, which more than likely accounts for her great approval ratings. I tend to follow the money as much as I can. Ontario is no longer dying a death of a thousand cuts, she is starting to cough blood. My wife will lose her job as a research assistant at the Juravinski Cancer Centre here in Hamilton because of the lack of government funding (other departments are cutting too) in the new year. So despite massive amounts of spending, the government is now starting to move funding away from research in health care. Where is all the money going?

Offshore. You don't really think a liberal government is going to "donate" money to all those poor countries do you? Maybe the liberals are siphoning taxpayer funds into offshore accts. and claiming appropriate empathy.

I've lived in this riding my whole life and a few moons ago was on the provincial conservative riding association. Happy the Conservatives won, but couldn't be unhappier about the candidate...
Federally in 1988 he was with the NDP; then became a Liberal; then in 2004 he ran as an Independent Liberal and got his handed to him by the incumbent Liberal Derek Lee.
Provincially it was an even greater mess..as per Wikipedia;
In 2005, Cho expressed interest in being the Ontario Liberal Party's candidate in the Scarborough—Rouge River provincial by-election which was made necessary by the appointment of incumbent Liberal MPP Alvin Curling to a diplomatic position. However, the Liberal riding association used a clause of its constitution to declare another city councillor, Bas Balkissoon, as its candidate without a contested nomination process.
Media reports suggested that this was done to exclude Cho as the provincial riding association was displeased with Cho's "independent Liberal" candidacy in the 2004 federal election. Cho was also mentioned as a potential candidate for the Progressive Conservatives since he helped former leader John Tory during the March 2005 by-election in Dufferin—Peel—Wellington—Grey. In the end, Cho chose not to run in the by-election which was won handily by Balkissoon.
In 2012, Cho was named as the Progressive Conservative candidate for the provincial riding of Scarborough—Rouge River. In the 2014 provincial election, Cho placed third with 27.68% of the vote.
So again...happy the Conservatives won, but they could have selected a better candidate.

Wow. I'm glad Wynne lost but this Cho guy sure seems like a political wh@re.
I’m suspicious of people who don't like dogs, but I trust a dog who doesn't like a person.

The Liberal supporters are still blaming Harris for anything they can... a lib supporter I know used that line the other day in regards to hydro.... when I pointed out it was Wynne and McGunity had been power for years, that they had doubled rates, built hundreds of windmills instead of improvements to Niagara Falls or another reliable source and had decided to sell off 60% AND according to Fin Post article lost money selling it..... funny... I could hear the crickets and it has been a week and he didn't reply yet!
