Peppers and Than Some
Just got in from picking 2 bushels of peppers from the garden - I've been growing a garden longer than I can remember and I've never had more and bigger peppers - the hot weather that we've been having and the rain that we got really helped - some of the plants are as high as my chest - also got the culprit that was getting at my corn - I thought that is was a raccoon the way the corn was knocked over - set a couple traps - low and behold - it was a groundhog - I have a 7 ft. screen around the garden to keep the deer out but this guy dug under it - well he's in groundhog heaven now - meanwhile back at the ranch - Joe

Ground hogs can be be deterred by an electric fence with the lowest wire about 3 inches off ground.
That needs a level plot of land.
But 3 inches off ground stops ground hogs, rabbits, raccoons and skunks.
Put two more wires at 6 and 12 inches and for sure deer fawn will not enter.
Three more wires at 2, 3, 5 feet from ground will stop bears, deer, elm, moose.

Yup it has been a really good year for the garden. Never seen as many tomatoes in my garden either. Every neighbor around me had their garden hit by the deer but I have been lucky so far............. They nailed me big time last year.
