You can still be outraged by the small things while keeping an eye on the big picture. Sure, what might seem like a small potatoe can turn into a bumper crop under the right conditions. The problem is no foresight by anyone involved. Look at the health minister's comment about how ministers need to be able to do their job. She can do her job in a taxi going to the airport as well as a "limo". Or her comment about how ministers require safety. She just implied the entire taxi industry is unsafe. No one caught that? Also, why does she think she needs to be safe? During the attack on parliament hill, many left supporters mocked Harper because he hid and said he didn't need to hide because he wasn't the head of the government, so why does this minister think she needs the notion of extra security (not that there is extra protection in a taxi vs a limo (or town car))?
The problem with over looking the small potatoes is it encourages more blantant mis-use of taxpayers money by politicians. It has happened in the past and it will keep happening in the future by all parties in government.

What people don't seem to be understanding is that she funnelling thousands of dollars to a liberal party supporter. This limo guy may have donated $250 to her campaign and now has made 10x that back. Where is the request for quotes for transportation services? Does anybody still remember why the Libranos got booted to the curb last time? Does anybody remember " I'm entitled to my entitlements", anybody remember ADSCAM? You can't teach old dogs new things. This administration will be every bit as bad as Cretien's was for bribery and fraud. Don't forget that SelfieBoy is Wynne's puppet/protege. What could go wrong?
I’m suspicious of people who don't like dogs, but I trust a dog who doesn't like a person.

I was commenting on the defense of taking the limo (or town car) from her house to the airport and racking up that other outrageous bill. I figured you guys would bring up the other points.

Dead wrong. Ethics should always be "The" biggest deal.
I'm all for chopping government. I've even built a guillotine.

I agree 100%. The who care's attitude is what has ruined this country.

X3
It WAS an issue when it was Duffy and the Conservatives.... but when the LIbErals LIE and the amount is $80,000,000,000 or more it seems the requirement for a moral choice is no longer required.
