I specifically watched this video a couple years back, last summer I was at a 14min average from live in the pen to in the cooler.
Delicious meat, pull it off the bone and grind it for all purpose ground meat, turn the back straps into cubes for stew or kabobs and the front legs grilled are very much like chicken wings, ha ha.

I guess with the way rabbits reproduce you never run out of rabbits to eat - with rabbits and some chickens a person will always have some meat to eat if the SHTF some day - I imagine feeding them shouldn't be expensive either -

Great video. I never thought of wetting the fur of a rabbit before cleaning, but it looks to keep a lot of hair off the meat. Worth a try. I think raising and butchering a rabbit would be a great school project for kids in grade school, even chickens would work. It would be worth the life lesson for kids these days. Just a thought.

Rabbits are really easy to raise, we had them when I was growing up in the Suburbs, we had lops and meat rabbits.
They give you a lot more meat for lb of feed than cattle, almost double the yield.
