Like many I have spent large blocks of time in the wilderness. Once 19 days in the remote swamps camping and hunting away from anything civilized. Never saw any indication of BF. Not very scientific but empirical.

I suspect Les is trying to make a buck(good for him) and is doing whatever he can to keep his ratings, much like all the other BF shows.
It's entertaining so I look at it like that, no more, no less.

IMO it does lessen his credibility in the survivorman category. In fact if BF was as poor at foraging as Les he would long be gone.

If Les could switch to an old cell phone and take a grainy, out of focus, black and white picture from a distance while moving erratically he may have a good chance. Seems all the other big foot pics are taken like that.

He had 3 prior "exeriences" before doing the show. One was when him and his former wife spent a year living in the bush. The more recent was while he was filming a Survivorman episode in BC. It was never mentioned on the show because as he put it, it would instantly redirect the viewer focus and no one would care about him "surviving" in BC. He never mentioned it publicly until he was on "Opie and Anthony" (satellite radio) and they flat out asked him. It steamrolled from there.

He did 2 episodes. The feedback got it extended to 8 (?). His response to Standing is his footage is either faked or "what if...". Says either way the guy is pretty dedicated and adamant they exist.

I think the show is very well done. Very little about it online, considering the guy had a website with a forum. I don't think he's doing it for coin. He's very involved.. does a lot of music with some pretty big names that doesn't get any publicity.

He's not doing it for money? Everything is done for money.

I too think his show is well done technically. I was watching the other night and thinking the same thing. Well edited, good cuts, good techniques with the camera work(except for the handheld walking tripod shots which are understandingly shaky).

The drone shots are classic. The Reveal, the Slide, etc. are well done.

I think he is genuinely interested in the truth of the subject. It also helps that it is a money making project.

IMO he is a more entertaining BF researcher than he was as a serious survivorman.
