Another Sunshine List [ City of Hamilton]
[COLOR=#1155cc]http://www.thespec.com/news-story/6405531-one-in-five-city-workers-is-in-the-100-000-club/
Not yet a complete list but, enough to make you shake your head pretty
often.
Check out the occupation of the 7th line on the list and then the 8th.
I wonder how that works?
Next, slip down the list to the salary of $157,630.61, now that's a
highly skilled worker!-???

Several years back there was a ticket taker for the TTC that was on the list. Sit in a booth and watch people drop tickets in a box for over $100,000 a year, something wrong with that, At least Di F R, asphalt raker did some actual physical work (we hope) for $157,000+ for the year!

I'm betting the chief accountant moves up the list next year after seeing the road crew able to best him

PaulR does a chief accountant do actual physical work? Some of the highest paid people I know do no physical work. Should that matter?

Only comparing that to the ticket taker, not a general statement on everyone on the list. Please read again and perhaps you will see the comparison.

I'm sure for him to make 100,000 he was working 70 hours a week.
What's the appropriate wage to work nights, weekends,deal with the scum of the earth as well as be responsible for thousands of dollars in funds.
Years ago a collector was stabbed to death at a scarboro subway station. As well as the one that was shot in a robbery at a downtown station.
If it looks so lucrative can I ask how many times you have applied for a job doing it .
Probably never applied .... You don't want to do the job but don't want anyone else doing it to make a good living at it.

Straggelake , I do not think that the TTT ridership would appreciate being called ' the scum of the earth', but we get what you mean.

Obviously it's not all the ridership but have you been on the system lately ?
