Yes , JB I must say, you have always been non-partisan in your condemnation of all crooked politicians.

Thanks G.
reality is, there 2 maybe 3 closely related topics.
1) this admin at QP and all that entails. So discussions around that, will inevitably bring up a few things, the usual kind of waste, the braincramps, the astronomical amount blown over and above the usual kinds of waste we see from all, the corruption. It will take a lot and I do mean a lot to ever get me to change my mind about the corruption. Btw the very definition of policial corruption....well google it. Pandering to Unions is prominently mentioned.
At the very least, the Unions are culpable simply for supporting/campaigning (the chief elections officer is concerned about their ads, spending, 3rd parties.....speaks volumes) for them and reaping benefits. Funny despite all their double speak about all the evils of Mike Harris....it didn't take long for the public to realize that yep, it was time to put a stop to it. Yet, now that things are reversed and it's the public taking it on the chin (and this includes many in PS now to)...nope just mention the need and well....
2) what can be done
a) wait for the economy to boom? Well it's been 8 years, no-one is predicting it (economist are kind of like weather men, no one can really predict it) but when the vast majority agree on something...
b) currently the prov rakes in ( 120 now I believe) and we still have a deficit (do we know if they like most haven't done some creating accounting?). Even if or when they balance the budget finally, there's still going to be 300b debt hanging over our heads. A debt to gdp of 40% and times aren't booming.... Even the auditor general can't find anything good to say about them. And still there are those who will keep them in power at all cost.
c) any reduction, any shaving off of spending means cuts to PS. Think they are spending a little too much on Y, well guess what people will lose jobs, if no one is willing to reduce salaries or benefits. Only other way to balance the budget.....God forbid reduce the debt is hammer people already......
"PS" is a big word. I'm sure there are savings to be had. They "could" change every pension to DCPs tomorrow without hurting those currently, but new hires and save a ton.......have fun the fight will be huge..
when the "envy" topic comes up, it is what it is. Does a janitor have it somewhat better than a janitor in private? Yep. How much is that really saying though.....
more and more shopping at Walmart
And no-one too blame but.

Lol GF won't let me.
If you can't tell YD, and pretty tired am people putting words in my mouth.
My stance has always been the same.
And truth is, most of this (including the backlash and or prices for "PS" was predicted a long time ago. Trimmer, Terryy, myself, some others. Many didn't like to hear it then, some still don't.
