Name calling just lowers a person to a certain level, which is one reason Conservatives lost so much in the last elections and why
Republicans and the NRA are also going to be getting a boot in the arse.LOL

I'm getting more and more tired about the Liberal vs. Conservative debate. Too many will blindly support "their" party and that's what created the problem in the first place. Politicians have only one goal and that is to win the next election. How - doesn't matter as long as they don't risk to go to jail!
There is no accountability anymore. The OP has just another example. The issue is they get away with it over and over again. Why?
Because you have
a) voters who always vote the same regardless of what happens,
b) voters who don't care as long as it is anyone but the guy currently in charge without looking what they get into (e.g. Anti-Harper votes)
c) special interest groups who push their agenda, because have the $$$ (e.g. PS unions) - in other places in the world it's called corruption...
d) media that does not report equally issues and successes; it's called political propaganda
in short, if we could grow bananas we would be called something else....

On the bright side you now have a hunt banned by Tories. previously.
Liberals are the ones who finished off the moose hunt for residents. They are the ones who brought in ridiculous wolf hunting regs ( Jan 2005). They could have fixed the moose problem years ago but chose not to.
As for off topic, when does a discussion stay on topic, especially in local coffee shops??
On a side note....we were paying less than .50cents a litre reg gas in the states last month

Because $100B is fiction.

http://www.thestar.com/news/canada/2...tax-debts.html
The outstanding balance in undisputed, unpaid taxes was $29 billion as of March 31, 2012, the federal auditor general reported in a 2013 examination of the issue.
..
The federal revenue agency has written off at least $4 billion in debts in the last two years — including accounts worth more than $10 million, newly released records show.
Debts were declared uncollectible because those owing had died, gone bankrupt, could not be located or lived outside Canada, according to Canada Revenue Agency records obtained under the Access to Information Act.
...
When a debt is declared a write-off, it does not eliminate the taxpayer's obligation to pay, Deussing added.
The revenue agency "has the right to collect the debt in the future, if and when the taxpayer is located or the taxpayer's financial situation improves."
Only the left would think they could get money from thin air.... just look at Ontario and Canada's rising debt!

This is also a very good indicator of how many companies have simply pulled up stakes and either shut down or left for Asia and Mexico.

Exactly! I think alot have just folded shop and closed, when you see the Leamington greenhouses building in Ohio because of the costs the Ontario Liberals have stuck them with..
http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/windso...ohio-1.2917918
and Canadian companies snubbed by the Ontario Liberals to send the work to Chile....

When you look at our tax system, at the electricity rates etc. I have more sympathy for the business owners than the gov't by far..... reminds me, I wonder if the Liberals will cancel this Conservative issued contract to that same snubbed company... it would fit their "mental" profile... only they could ignore the jobs leaving and think.. hey lets increase the electricity rates more!

It's about 30B, not 100B, but your point is valid.
The other interesting thing is that unlike other corporate debts, unpaid taxes are the directors' responsibility.
The government could get a lot of these paid up in a hurry if they started exercising their authority to go after directors.
That would get a lot of action in a hurry.
