Roads were already here as were the houses. Country was already built. There was a recession at the time and not many jobs here. They were as hard of workers as any other workers in the work force in those days. I worked right beside 2 Vietnamese and they did their job very well!! Now many moved to the cities.

What? How did the roads get built?
My family came here in the 1850s but we still came here, we were immigrants, we built the churches, we cleared and farmed the land, we got hassled by people like you for being an immigrant and being from Germany, Poland and Ireland, just because we were different.
Think a little before you attack someone for how they look or where they are from.

The boat people as they were called was before you were born but in the late 1970's. Many refuges came from Vietbam. Many sponsored these families. Actually went pretty smooth but there was a shortage of jobs at the time and many young hard workers, just coming out of school, lost out because of the refugees.
Your talking of a different era Fox!! Big difference from then till now.
I'm all for helping them but in the end settle them back in their own region of the world.

We are a country of immigrants and will continue to be. I have always found it funny when people point a finger at immigrants and lay blame when they are an immigrant themselves. Instead of laying blame spend more time finding a solution to benefit everyone.

Country can't handle an influx of new people right now. No jobs.
Lets get the people a job that's already here. Remember, we just lost thousands of jobs in the west. Who are now on the unemployment role and will be for a long time. Canada is in a recession right now and the Gov. wants more people to add to the unemployed!!!
Harper had the right idea. Help but keep them in Europe.
Liberals are BLEEDING HEARTS!!!

I’m suspicious of people who don't like dogs, but I trust a dog who doesn't like a person.
