I see that JT called the white house today and informed them that Canada will be pulling out of the middle east which includes all combat aircraft. No more missions will be flown. Hmmm, wonder how that was received? Ah, President Obama, we seem to have some Russian aircraft flying over our northern borders, could you help us out here. " I think you have the wrong number"

We have just lost an alliance with the US I would imagine. Something will definitely come back and bite us in the backside over this...

The "people" want us to go back to our old selves.
    1) Forgetting that didn't work
    2) Left the military in a shambles and a laughing stock of the world.
    3) Utterly at the mercy of, and mooching/leaching off the US.

I'm ok with giving him a chance (albeit on a very short leash). This one both the decisions to pull up his skirt and run a like a girl from a big problem we helped create, and hang Syrians out to dry is one brain cramp I believe.

The next will be somewhere down the road when things up north heat up and we have

    /crickets
And the air force is using flying coffins whose best before date is long gone.

and maybe a few new ships for our navy on the East coast, so he could lock up the Maritimes.

What role has our "navy" ever played, in any peacekeeping mission?

Our jets in the middle East were doing ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!! Except wasting our tax dollars. As for Russians coming. Our friends to the south would NEVER let that happen. Canada would just be the battle ground. We'll just be considered the DMZ of N. America.

We could always feed the Russians Tim Horton donuts , coffee and JT could offer massages as well. To top it off he could also put on some plays on to entertain the Russians and they could fire bullets at him to make him dance. I should contact Rick Mercer and pitch that too him.

At least the jets were there. At least Canada was there. I personally cannot think of a better ally than the United States.

Maybe, hopefully we will never need them!! But I think in the near future we will want, need and rely on them heavily, to help us protect our sorry -s.

Laugh, sing, dance, ridicule and be happy. Darker days are just around the corner. Hopefully we still have a few allies to help us out. Don't count the United Nations to offer up any help either!! Just look at their track record in worldly disputes.

Laser guided weaponry wouldn't be the best tech in the desert(likely current CFB munitions) but no matter, we would see to it you had top of the line GPS munitions. The thing is, with those CFB jets come CFB FACs and CFB Combat Controllers. Their presence gives us the ability to find more sores to apply the salve, to whether it be your jets or other's attack helos actually doing the deed.

etA...... Responding to Chris' post on CFB jets idle.
