Terry without a doubt as Dyth said outdoors people, nature and enviroment "lovers" will see things for what they are.
I wonder sometimes how people can't look around and not see what this govt has, is doing. Be that as it may.
Many of those people loathe Harper for Some of his environmental, "dictatorship", secrecy, blah blah. Ok, fair points even if to date nothing has really materialized but fair criticisms.
But they defend or vote or turn blind eyes to far far worse here at home. The blatant hypocrisy/ or contradictions are boggling.
And this is just the wind farm issue, mounting evidence of health issues arising. We have hydro rates, smart meters, brutal deals, the wonderful GEA. But there's so much more.
In short harper is the devil but.......

If there was a simple test to prequalify before voting most Ontarians would fail. I bet at least 1/3 can't name the MPP or MP in their riding.
I’m suspicious of people who don't like dogs, but I trust a dog who doesn't like a person.

That is my understanding, too. We have to 'pay' to dump the over production. So I wouldn't call it a loss, I'd call it really, really stupid! :0

Hang on just a sec.
I hate them. But let the blame be placed where it should.
In the case of the wind farms North of Orangeville, they are on private land. Not appropriated, but leased by places like Dufferin Wind Power Inc. ( China). It was the farmers themselves, and their greed that allowed it to happen.
The wind farms in Chatham-Kent are also located on private land.
The Libs have the lions share of the blame, but let's not ignore peoples greed at play either.
In the case of BonEcho, the Libs are wholly to blame, as they're seeking to install on Crown.

I think ( am not sure) that's not always the case BBD.
Well worth the hour of anyones time.
http://tvo.org/video/211702/big-wind
It delves into mounting anecdotal health/medical issues and the provinces "response".
It delves into battles between farmers ( your points above)
It delves into Buzz Hargroves role...
It delves into greed by the wind companies
It delves into property values.
It delves into how farmers often live by credit
It delves into how lenders determine someones credit worthiness, and for farmers that means the value of their land. So even if they have no plans to put their century farms up for sale. It kneecaps their ability to borrow.
and much more
oh where oh where are the green champions and Lib supporters. Harper has nothing on Ms Wind.

Really, the federal government has not gutted environmental projects,in the least, other than to eliminate duplication and waste. Their only "crime" was to permanently lay off the pigs at the trough. They're the only ones screaming the loudest and we really can't blame them. They had a really good gig.....while it lasted. Nobody likes to lose a job, especially,if all they needed to do to get paid was show up at the office two or three days a week. Every last one of them qualified for the "sunshine list". On the other hand, provincially,we have a government that is thoroughly corrupt in everything they're involved with. At the top of the list is the GEA. those clowns have free rein to do whatever the h**l they want for the next three years. The next government will have a terrible mess to clean up.

Has too much time on their hands
We have the same fight on Oxford county right now with the guns hill wind farm. The county is a unwilling partnering this and is fighting right now over the right away of the power lines .as all power company's can put thete lines in the road ways .just sucks to be forced to be the host and not want them

i just want to ask if they can justify the money if such as these events happen
but in general to me it doesn't make sense to produce thousands of supply where there is no demand. especially for technology that required to be constantly operated when it can not be producing the power itself... it just not 'economical' at all; even worse. its not green.
