14 years later, i still can't believe that the response to that terrible terrible day resulted in:

    26,000 Dead Afghans

    and

    500,000 Iraqis

    The creation of Isis

    So on and so forth..

    Very sad indeed

Well, it is the same people that caused the murder of 2,977 in 9/11 that can be found in ISIL so I wouldn't think it was a surprise. They were actually part of Al-quaeda at one point until there was a power struggle and a Islamic Caliphate has always been a stated goal by groups like them and Boko Haram, al Shabab, Gerakan Mujahidin Islam Patani, PLO, Moro Islamic Liberation Front, the Taliban, Hamas, Hezzbullah, Muslim Brotherhood etc. Those groups we can see little girls kidnapped and sold, bombings, shootings etc and it is tragic that so many have died, it is too bad the rabid dogs couldn't be put down without casualties other than themselves!

Also... figures vary but atleast 1,000,000 died in the Iraq/Iran war. Sunni and Shi'ite have been killing each other for centuries with even more glee than they kill Christians and Jews, the word we get for assassin even comes from a Shi'ite group that would plant killers in place sometimes decades before they killed.
