    Does anyone know of a spot it kitchener or owensound area that carries cure number one or pink salt

    No idea what cure number one is? But pink salt I googled "Owen sound health food store" and came up with Lawson's health food store... If that is what you mean by pink salt, pink colored mined rock salt... They should have it there. Unless you're talking about some fancy name for gun powder or something like that...

    are local TSC store has it .you may check yours ,,ares has a large section of meat processing gear and all kinds of casings ,spices and mixes ,,Dutch

    Pink salt is used for curing meats or smoking at low temps I will check tsc never thought about there

    Princess auto has prep seasoned cure but no pink salt on its own.

    I buy mine from amazon delivered right to your door and probably cheaper than tsc

    Thanks Dutch tsc had it for 3.99 would have been more for shipping and it is in my pantry now thanks again

    Another place you might want to try is a Bulk Barn. I was getting some spices and pickling salt and noticed they had pink salt. It was in the spice section.

    Do punk salt only come in one concentration?

    Most is 6.25 percent nitrites the rest salt as a binder to ensure proper concentrations when mixed ready cure from canada compounds is one percent I believe tender quick is totally different
