Originally when I heard this I thought she was referring to the way they funnel the deer in the US to go over bridges or through tunnels, and somehow she was miscommunicating what she was meaning. But the more I listen to it, and as much as I try to extract some sense, she seems to be referring to the signs themselves, even when the announcer asks her if she is referring to the signs and states they are for the drivers not the deer.
I don't understand how the radio announcers do not break out laughing.

I'll rank her right up there with "Why do you have to hunt and kill things when there's perfectly good meat at the grocery store?" Un-ferkin'-believeable.

Has too much time on their hands
The signs near my house would freak her out - the sign has the icon of the leaping buck with the warning that it's for the next 30 kms!

Should take a picture of it ! about 10 min from me beside a pond there is .... hold on.. a turtle crossing sighn. out in the country were the speed limit is 80 km. maybe I'll ask our councillor's move it closer to town were the speed is only 50 ??? May take a bit but the turtle's could make the extra 3 km treck in the ditch to cross a little more safely??
