It will be interesting to see if the leftwing media report this?

Love how so few read and just make assumptions....

"Statistics Canada added weight to that scenario on Friday, reporting that about 58,900 new jobs were created overall last month — most of those being full-time positions and mainly in the private sector.
    "

Any job created NOT in the public sector is a good job! BNN is talking about manufacturing jobs being the largest industry... those aren't minimum wage usually.

I did, I did... ..... I don't like to see people loose their jobs but it doesn't say if it is retirement, job changes etc. so ...

"while public-sector employment fell by 19,100."

It will be interesting to see if the lower dollar and oil have a continued effect on Ontario.

I know, just being silly and I said that too and it seemed like a good excuse to add the Public sector going down, I wonder which area and province etc..

    Still kind of depressing though...

In the 12 months to May, the number of private sector employees rose by 118,000 (+1.0%) and public sector employment increased by 42,000 (+1.2%). Over the same period, self-employment was little changed.

Still over 3.5 million public sector jobs, to be expected with police, hospitals, schools etc. but still lots of fat too.

I'm pretty sure its publicly funded and the employees are public servants. Almost all Ontario hospitals are private but publicly funded, staffed being paid by public (Ontario taxpayer) funds, making them part of the public sector.

If you look at the sunshine list, you'll find that London Health Sciences is staffed by public servants - about 14 screens worth on the list, which would make it part of the public sector, it's "private" status notwithstanding.

Are there any provincially run hospitals in Ontario?
