I wondered where you got your name Angus. The Black Angus is a beautiful animal. What size is your herd?

I have 4 white faced herefords but this will be their first year with a black bull on them. Hopefully get some baldie heifers !
I buy my own bulls and try to keep my herd closed as much as possible.
Never been a fan of double muscled breeds but to each his own. I appreciate the low birth weight of angus, last calf I had, the cow was standing there and spat it out, I swear it went 3 feet horizontal before it hit the ground ! I haven't touched a cow or calf in 5 years for calving problems.

I most sincerely appreciate your interest yd but I don't even advertise to friends in my area. It's family mostly right now, and with the prices I would have to charge in order to equate to what I get at the sales barn it just isn't the direction I choose at this point.
If you like I will take a look and tell you where I would be going if I lived in your area ?

I hope the OP will indulge this divergence from the original topic ! lol

Was a great day for storms in my area. One of my favourite shots from the day (I later edited it and removed the hydro lines on the right side). This was taken just north of Fowler's Corners.

Still way too dry here. Calling for some rain tomorrow. I wish I could look out and see a sky like that CalTek !

Corn and other crops shot up after last rain but now drought stressed again.

Some of these cattle are gonna grow wheels soon.
