Default RPAL Renewal - That Was Easy

My RPAL doesn't expire until the end of August of this year, but lads at the gun club were telling me horror stories about how long it can take to renew a RPAL.

Since I didn't have a renewal notice, I went online to print off the form. And there was a link to renew online, so I did. I had to register for an online government account, but then the rest was easy.

Instead of going to Wallyworld to get a passport photo, I was able to use a selfie taken with my phone camera, filled out the rest. Had my wife check off that she was aware I was renewing my RPAL.

I did this on April 27th and just checked the status online, and it has been completely processed and in the mail.

All in 5 federal government business days.

    I am still in shock...

If you would have waited until August you would have been checking the mailbox until Christmas.

Expect the worst and be surprised rather than expect the best and be disappointed.
