and going down to something like -29 early Friday morning...and think about + 1 on Sunday, that's when you see the sprinkler heads popping in the commercial / industrial buildings.

There are electric pipe wires that you wrap around exposed piping between the ground and house and then plug in and they keep your pipes free no matter how cold it is... But if your pipe is buried 3 or 4 foot underground it wound't help in that case unless you dug it up and re-buried it with the pipe wire attached...
