Sunny and calm here in Haliburton but my scanner app shows Ohio having huge problems with snow too, multi car pileups, d.o.a. etc

    Not good here.
Weather radar shows us as being in one of the worst area's today.
Some highways closed in the area due to weather.
Even in town at times I can't see across the road. Other times it's just poor to bad.

Lots of snow earlier and now it's windy. Not going to blow out the driveway until tomorrow morning. I hope the wind dies down a bit! Blowing snow in -30 weather sucks. Blowing it when the windchill is -40 sucks more!

The southern end of Lake Huron (Forset area) is basically impassible.
Vehicles stuck in the middle of the roads & roads closed where they have barriers available.
    Many in the ditches also.

I'm kind of in the same boat dutch, except the ignition on my furnace stopped working (thought it was kinda chilly overnight). Gas fireplace is on until a repair person gets here with a new ignitor. -25 here plus wind chill.

This cold weather we are having, makes me glad that we have a woodstove[airtight ] down in the rec. room and plenty of wood. The oil furnace kicks in sometimes around 5:30 or 6o in the morning, I get up and just rake the coals around and throw a few more logs on the fire and it's going again.
At 8:30 this morning the thermometer at the back of the house read - 25 , a bit chilly the dogs don't waste time when we let them out.
