Ouch! My Face
On my one and only ice fishing trip this season, I managed to make a mess of my pop-up Eskimo 650 ice hut. I think I tried to set it up inside out.
I brought the shack into the shop at work and proceeded to untangled it. This involved removing some of the fibreglass rods from their pockets. Anyone who owns one of these units knows that you have to give them a good bend to get them out. I was working on one wall and things were going smooth until I was pulling the last rod out. Whack, righty between the eyes!! I was wearing glasses and the nose pads cut both sides of my nose and the tip of the rod cut my forehead and gave me a welt
After a string of curses and some first aid, managed to put things back together and the hut sets up perfectly.
I guess my wounds could have been worse,

Lol, I’m one of those guys that throws packaging and instructions away.
I hope to get out next week. We got over 1’of snow since I was out last week, I hope there’s no slush.

Glad you got it worked out. Sorry about the face. Good luck next week.
