I went out searching for small game (grouse, rabbits ).. came across few snowshoe tracks, no sightings, no harvest,
However great joy nonetheless to be out in woods with my dog on such great day

I'm away for Christmas right now, but I'm thinking about going out a bit when I get home to Yellowknife, see if there's a bunny or ptarmigan around somewheres. I've hardly spent any time small-game hunting in ages!
If it weren't so dang cold I'd take my flintlock, but the fun factor is diminished at -20.
