Default Bow hunting it's about time

Will be bow hunting the next 4 days with some long-planned sits in a brand-new area in 92B.

I don't have much free time this season, so I really need to hunt hard and smart before the first orange army hunt in a about a weeks' time!

After the first controlled hunt the archery hunting gets even tougher.

    Hello fellow Ontario Archers

I am having one of those cat and mouse seasons. lol

6 days of bow hunting my prime locations and a new farm and I have yet to have a deer in bow range. Cameras are not looking promising either. Very strange year.

All good though I am having a good time, and my never quit attitude will last until Dec 31st if need be... lol

Controlled hunt next week at deer camp will hopefully yield some freezer meat if all goes well.

    cheers

Good luck! You are doing better than me. Haven't even made it out scouting yet. Swear life just gets more hectic as i am trying to move towards retirement. Sooner or later will just say F it all and retire. Two of my kids getting married this year - one done in July, next one is Nov 9th. Well into 6 figures between the two of them. Figure i would rather my kids have the money before i croak so at least everyone gets to enjoy it - 3 houses bought this year with me co-signing and being part owner on two of them so they could get mortgages and buying the third outright for cash so the old man could hold the mortgage privately. Count myself lucky to be able to help my kids however they need.

My next bow hunt will be on Nov 29th as I have the day off.

Really need to make it count because my next free time to hunt will be after Christmas and I typically see zero deer end of December.

Still staying positive and if it happens it will be oh so sweet!

Second rut is coming up so you may connect with a cruising buck. December is a good time to get some corn out, if you choose to hunt that way.
