Slow Start and very dry conditions

We have not had very much rain in southern Bruce County. As a result, the river where I have my permanent blind is only 1/8 it’s normal size. I did go out on opening day with the owner of the property. I managed to shoot a Wood Duck before he got to the blind around 7:45. The only duck that came in and 1 of 4 we saw all morning.
They are getting lots of Woodies field hunting. Time to try something new.
