Excalibur Recall Notice
Just received a notice from the Hunter Ed program that Excalibur has issued a recall notice on their C2 Crank Cocking Aid due to hook breakage.
if anyone on here uses one, you should check the Excalibur website for instructions on how to replace the hooks and cords.

'Just received a notice from the Hunter Ed program that Excalibur has issued a recall notice on their C2 Crank Cocking Aid due to hook breakage.'
genec: Thank you for the 'heads up'. I have a C2 , removed rope & hooks, took picture as required and fired off an e-mail to
Excalibur. Surprisingly, after many, many years my 2 hooks look spanking new, but the rope is not looking so new anymore .
Glad to have them replaced under warranty . Thanks again !!

I haven't used mine in a long time but I used to use it all the time. The string broke on me one after using it for about 3 seasons. I called excalibur and they sent me a new one. Wonder if this has something to do with this recall. I was lucky that it broke almost as soon as I put pressure on the string, would have been bad if it was just before string was all the way back. I will check out their web site.

I have received my C2 replacement rope and hooks, under warranty from Excalibur. The new hooks are slightly longer than the old hooks. They certainly look beefier and more robust than the old models.
